In March of 2008, Don St. John was named Home Servicing’s Chief Operating Officer. In this position he is responsible for overseeing servicing operations, systems development and implementation in addition to investor reporting and remittance processes. St. John has a diversified operational and financial background including 20 years of experience in sub prime and non-performing servicing operations, industry consulting experience and investment banking relationships.
Previously, St. John was a Director of Transaction management for Mission Capital Advisors, LLC where he was responsible for agency and private securitization pricing and delivery, servicing surveillance and quality assurance processes. In 2005, principals in Mission Capital invested in Home Servicing, LLC in order to provide equity, operational support and servicing oversight to Home Servicing.
St. John was a seasoned, successful consultant to industry leaders and merged his consulting practice Stratedge, Inc. into Mission Capital in 2004. As founder and president of Stratedge, Inc., St. John was responsible for providing consulting services to investment banking firms including Credit Suisse First Boston, Deutsche Bank, Wachovia Securities and Banc of America Securities. These consulting services included strategic planning, servicing surveillance, transaction performance, site assessments and process re-engineering.
Prior to founding Stratedge, Inc., St. John as senior vice President of Residential Mortgage Loans for Ocwen Financial Corporation. In this role, he was responsible for collections, loss mitigation and REO management on a $40 billion sub prime-servicing portfolio.
St. John has a Masters degree in Business Administration and an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from the State University of New York.
